ABOUT ME

Vitals: I was born around noon on a Saturday in July in a tiny hospital in Arlington, GA, in the deepest part of the south to Lurelle and Angeline Goodson, the youngest of three.

Growing Up: I grew up in Albany (pronounced all-benny), the “good life city” of Southwest Georgia, and graduated from Lee County High School in 1988. I had a great childhood and was completely obsessed with television and magazines.

Moving Out: I got a Bachelor in Journalism, concentration in Magazines, from Grady College at the University of Georgia. I worked at approximately eight law firms from 11th grade to my move to Atlanta after graduation. I found my way to Augusta, GA in 1995 when I met my future soulmate at my cousin’s wedding, he was the dj, a classic romantic comedy plot was about to unfold - and baby makes three.

Working Girl: I got a job at the Medical College of Georgia as an employment specialist in 1996. I quickly moved to the Office of Institutional Research in 1997, and have been in that department ever since, now the Office of Institutional Information. We analyze data and then take that data and turn it into information through web sites, reports, briefs, factsheets and other communication products. I have also done a lot of freelance design over the years for restaurants, bars, artists, musicians, and other individuals.

Lifelong Learner: I am currently enrolled at Southern Polytechnic State University in the Information Design and Communication program. I have really loved my classes so far, each of them have somehow applied to what I do at work now, so not sitting through an Accounting class is amazing.
